PART TIME/NO BENEFITS
$16.43 HOURLY - Monday - Thursday
Washington County Council on Aging is looking for a dependable, friendly, and community-minded Meals-On-Wheels Driver to help deliver nutritious meals to homebound seniors throughout our community.
What You'll Do
- Deliver meals to seniors along pre-scheduled routes
- Review daily route sheets and ensure the correct meals are delivered
- Provide friendly, respectful service to each client
- Observe clients for potential health or safety concerns and communicate concerns to your supervisor
- Assist with packaging and loading meals when needed
- Perform routine vehicle and equipment safety checks
- Maintain a clean and safe delivery vehicle
- Keep accurate route, travel, and delivery records
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- No previous experience required
- Valid Utah Driver's License
- Ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with seniors, coworkers, and supervisors
- Ability to perform the physical duties of the position, including lifting
- Basic understanding of safe vehicle operation and driving laws
A Utah State Food Handlers Permit must be obtained within two months of employment.
Candidates must also successfully complete a criminal background check and pre-employment drug test.
