What are the responsibilities and job description for the Children Services Caseworker position at Washington County Job and Family Services?
CHILDREN SERVICES CASEWORKER needed to provide family preservation services, safety and family assessments, case planning, and referrals to community agencies to help prevent children from being removed from their homes. When needed, request a court order to remove a child from the home and testify in court hearings. Conduct interviews regarding sexual and physical abuse. Work closely with other community agencies including law enforcement, the court system, mental health providers and the school system. Interventions may involve the youth, the parent(s), school personnel, Juvenile Court, and/or agency and community workers. Must provide parent education, mentoring, constructive feedback, and occasionally transportation to appointments. Participation in on call rotation required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in social services or related field is required. Valid driver license and insurance required. Two years training and/or work experience in social services preferred.
