Community Based Caseworker in Parkersburg, WV

Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree in Social Work or Related Field

• Regular and reliable attendance is essential.
• Possess working knowledge of the agency’s organizational structure, goals, procedures, and contractual agreements.
• Maintain a caseload of 8-20 participants; establish positive relationships and ensure all program goals are being addressed and attained.
• Assessing client and/or family needs through conducting interviews and observations.
• Provide support, resources, and assistance to participants which may include providing parenting education, conducting
  family visitations, providing family support intervention services, as well as referrals to community resources and programs.
• Provide case management for any participant accepted; complete, submit, and file any corresponding written documentation and billings by required deadlines.
• Attend court hearings and meetings scheduled by the referring agency pertaining to clients.
• Available 24/ hour on call rotation to handle emergency and crisis intervention.
• Develop a working knowledge of other community agencies, and their services, for the purpose of assessing a client's suitability for services through these agencies.
• Advocate for participants’ rights and access to services to support prevention or reunification efforts.
• Understand and maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations and maintain compliance with agency policies.
• Additionally, depending on the referring agency, current personnel, and other varying factors, caseworkers may be required to assist with additional assignments.
• Perform such other duties as assigned by manager or director.
• Some evening and weekend hours required.
