Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining our facilities and ensuring they are in good working order.
Duties

- Performs necessary cleaning duties.
- Performs minor building maintenance duties such as repairing and replacing drywall and ceiling tiles, floor tiles, plumbing, masonry, painting, carpentry, etc.
- Assist in snow removal.
- Maintains landscaping.
- Assembles and moves furniture.
- Coordinates collection of recyclables.
- Collects interoffice mail.
- Arranges meeting rooms for use.
- Ensures buildings are secure at close of business.
- May act as Lead Worker
- Performs related assignments as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions independently, without direct supervision.
- Skilled in carpentry, masonry, drywall repair and painting.
- Sound knowledge of construction and maintenance of various types of facilities.
- Ability to train and supervise.
- Ability to read construction drawings, schematics, technical drawings, , beneficial but not essential.
- Working knowledge of a safe operating limits of the various equipment used in this position.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a semi-skilled laborer in one or more trades gained through on- the-job training or technical school.
A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This is work requiring the exertion of 100 pounds of force occasionally and up to 50 pounds of force frequently to move objects; work requires climbing, balancing, stooping, knelling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, an repetitive motions; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; visual acuity is required for depth perception, color perception, visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts, use of measuring devices, assembly or fabrication of parts at or within arm’s length, operation of machines, operation of motor vehicles or equipment, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities; the worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, noise, vibration, hazards, atmospheric conditions, and oils. The worker may be exposed to bloodborne pathogens and may be required to wear specialized personal protective equipment.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Possession of an appropriate valid driver’s license.

- This is a second shift position from 1:30pm-9:30pm.
