 **Per the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), the first 90 days of employment in this position will be paid at 90% of the applicable classification rate ($22.95 per hour). After 90 days, the wage will increase to $25.50 per hour.  

OVERVIEW

The primary responsibility assigned to this position is to scrape, wash, and sort dishes and other food containers and return them to their proper place of storage.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES 

· Prepare dishwashing machines for use

· Prepare all dirty dishes, silverware, glasses and other food containers for processing through the dishwashing machine

· Organize, stack and return all clean dishes to proper areas

· Polish all silver on a regular or as needed basis

· Clean dish machines, steam pots and griddles, etc.

· Clean floors and walk-ins and other kitchen areas as requested by the Chef

· Communicate on a regular basis with all kitchen and food service staff

· Report to appropriate supervisor any needs, concerns or suggestions

· Other duties as assigned. 

  QUALIFICATIONS 

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Washington State Food Handler’s Permit

· Strong communication skills and a customer service mindset
