Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
- Operate the POS system and process cash, card, and other payments
- Provide accurate change and maintain payment-handling accuracy
- Answer questions about menu items and available options
- Ensure orders are entered correctly and communicated to the appropriate team members
- Assist with packaging and presenting takeout orders as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming cashier and service area
- Restock bags, containers, utensils, napkins, condiments, and other supplies
- Assist guests with special requests and general service needs
- Follow restaurant policies and food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
- Support team members during busy service periods
- Assist with opening, closing, and daily front-of-house duties
- Report register, payment, inventory, or guest-service concerns to management
- Perform additional duties assigned by restaurant management
Requirements
- Previous cashier, restaurant, retail, hospitality, or food-service experience is preferred but not required
- Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic cash-handling and POS knowledge
- Strong attention to detail and order accuracy
