Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide courteous, professional service.
- Process cash, credit card, debit card, and other accepted payments accurately.
- Operate the POS system to enter orders and complete transactions.
- Prepare bills, issue receipts, and verify transaction details.
- Maintain an accurate cash drawer and follow cash-handling procedures.
- Process approved refunds, discounts, and billing adjustments.
- Answer questions about menu items, prices, and payment options.
- Coordinate with servers and bartenders to ensure accurate order processing.
- Assist with takeout orders and customer pickups when needed.
- Resolve basic billing discrepancies and refer complex issues to management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional checkout area.
- Monitor transactions and report cash discrepancies or POS issues.
- Assist with opening, closing, and end-of-shift reconciliation.
- Protect customers' payment information and maintain transaction confidentiality.
- Follow restaurant policies and applicable payment-security procedures.
- Support team members during busy service periods.
- Communicate customer concerns and operational issues to the supervisor.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous cashier, retail, or restaurant experience preferred.
