Host/Hostess

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring exceptional guest services. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist them with seating arrangements.
• Manage reservations and maintain an organized waiting list during peak hours.
• Communicate effectively with guests regarding wait times and special requests.
• Provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to enhance the guest experience.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining area and entrance.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
• Handle phone inquiries professionally, including reservations and general questions about the restaurant.
• Support other team members as needed to ensure high standards of guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in guest services or customer service roles within the hotel, restaurant, or food service industry is preferred.
• Strong phone etiquette and ability to communicate clearly with guests and team members.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly demeanor to create a positive first impression.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A passion for hospitality and helping others enjoy their dining experience.
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
• Some Saturday/Sunday availability required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour
