We are a reputable and growing Japanese restaurant known for our commitment to traditional sushi craftsmanship, fresh ingredients, and an exceptional dining experience. We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Sushi Chef to join our culinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present sushi and sashimi with precision and artistry
- Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene and safety
- Collaborate with the Head Sushi Chef and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
- Manage mise en place and stock levels during shift
- Engage with customers at the sushi bar when appropriate
- Assist in training junior staff and upholding kitchen protocols
Requirements:
- 2 years of hands-on sushi preparation experience
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of Japanese ingredients and techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Food handler's certification (preferred)
