The Warwick Community School, nestled in the scenic woodlands of western Massachusetts, seeks an elementary classroom school teacher committed to using evidence-based practices, providing joyful learning opportunities, and learning in nature. Our beautiful and innovative elementary school sits on a 25-acre outdoor campus with a vernal pool, a cranberry bog, and Mount Grace for hiking!
We are seeking an elementary school teacher who will provide high-quality reading and math instruction and place and project-based learning that is nature-inspired. Teachers who are a great fit for our school will be committed to teaching in multi-age classrooms and using standards-aligned, evidence-based, engaging curricula for deeper learning. We are also looking for teachers excited to take our foundational curriculum, based on EL Education units, and build upon it, centering the environment and student inquiry. Other curricula we use are Illustrative Mathematics (IM) in kindergarten through sixth grades and the University of Florida Literacy Institute (UFLI) in grades kindergarten through third based on the science of reading. We also work to make our curriculum both culturally responsive and personalized. We have a commitment as a community to social justice.

MA initial or professional license
Masters preferred
3 or more years of teaching is preferred, but new teachers with strong recommendations will be considered.
