We are growing quickly and continuing to develop our workforce and internal processes to support our increasing workload. This position will work closely and collaborate with the Organizational Development Manager, HR Intern, and Administrative Assistant to support the day-to-day needs of Human Resources and office administration and aid in improving HR processes as the company continues to grow.

THE SUCCESSFUL HUMAN RESOURCES/ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
The successful Human Resources/Administrative Assistant at Wartech Engineering is organized, trustworthy, approachable, and detail-oriented. The ideal candidate understands the importance of confidentiality, compliance, accurate documentation, positive employee relationships, and an organized workplace.
This individual will work closely with the Organizational Development Manager and President while collaborating with the HR Intern, department leaders, and employees throughout the organization. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, sound judgment, and ability to manage multiple priorities are essential for success in this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support day-to-day Human Resources operations in coordination with the Organizational Development Manager.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and documentation.
- Assist with payroll, compensation, benefits, and employee HR questions.
- Support recruiting, interviews, hiring, onboarding, and termination processes.
- Assist with employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace concerns.
- Support compliance with applicable employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Coordinate employee training and development initiatives with the Organizational Development Manager.
- Assist with Employee Handbook updates and HR policies and procedures.
- Support employee needs related to ADA, FMLA, and other applicable requirements.
- Provide administrative support and assist with day-to-day office operations as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding all Human Resources matters.
- Perform other duties as needed.
DESIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Strong understanding of Human Resources practices, policies, and procedures.
- Previous Human Resources or administrative experience preferred.
- Knowledge of recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, payroll, and compliance.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with payroll, benefits, and other HR software.
- Experience with Paychex.
- Experience with Epicor is preferred but not required.
- Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, defense, or regulated environment is preferred but not required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or "U.S. Person" in accordance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
