What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional position at Warren, Washington, Albany Counties ARC?
One of our residential programs located in Queensbury, NY has a part-time 32-hour Direct Support Professional (DSP) position available. The schedule for this position is Saturday 9am-9pm, Thursday 2p-10p, & Friday 9:30a-10p*. (*denotes a 30-minute daily unpaid lunch break.) The rate of pay is $20.00/hour differentials, and this is an hourly position. DSPs provide care and support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This includes helping with daily routines like getting ready, cooking, cleaning, administering medications, and enjoying community activities together. Some support may also involve personal care such as toileting, lifting/transferring, or assisting with medical needs (like g-tubes). It’s meaningful work that makes a real difference—while having fun along the way!

- 18 years of age or older
- Have a valid driver’s license
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required
