What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional- AWAKE position at Warren, Washington, Albany Counties ARC?
One of our residential programs located in Albany, NY currently has a part-time 30-hour AWAKE Direct Support Professional (DSP) position available. The shift for this position is Thursday-Saturday 10pm-8am.
The rate of pay for this position is $20.00 per hour differentials. This is an hourly position. DSPs provide care and support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This includes helping with daily routines like getting ready, cooking, cleaning, administering medications, and enjoying community activities together. Some support may also involve personal care such as toileting, lifting/transferring, or assisting with medical needs (like g-tubes). It’s meaningful work that makes a real difference—while having fun along the way!

- 18 years of age or older
- Have a valid driver’s license that meets WWAARC insurability requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required
