Duties
- Conduct patrols on foot or in patrol vehicles to monitor neighborhoods, public spaces, ensuring safety and deterring criminal activity.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, accidents, disturbances, or suspicious activities, providing immediate assistance and coordinating with emergency services when necessary.
- Investigate crimes by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses and suspects, and documenting findings through detailed report writing.
- Enforce laws related to criminal investigation, traffic regulation, immigration compliance, loss prevention, and animal control as required.
- Engage with the community through outreach programs, conflict management efforts, and public safety education initiatives to build trust and cooperation.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, arrests, citations, and other law enforcement activities while adhering to departmental protocols.
Experience
- Prior experience in law enforcement or military service is a plus. Entry level candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in report writing with attention to detail; ability to document complex situations clearly and accurately.
- Familiarity with driving laws and safe vehicle operation.
- Fixed schedule with permanent days off for full time. Flexible scheduling for part time.
