Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Curriculum
Teach JROTC curriculum including leadership, citizenship, military history, health/fitness, and life skills.
Develop engaging lesson plans that support the goals of the JROTC program.
Provide classroom instruction, hands-on activities, and leadership laboratories.
Maintain accurate records of cadet progress, attendance, and evaluations.
Cadet Leadership & Program Management
Supervise, mentor, and guide cadets in leadership roles within the battalion/unit.
Coordinate and conduct drill, ceremony, physical training, and uniform inspections.
Organize extracurricular activities such as drill team, color guard, Raiders, academic teams, and community service events.
Manage cadet promotions, awards, and recognition programs.
Eligibility Criteria
Noncommissioned Officers (E-6 to E-9) – Separated or retired within the past 5 years with at least 8 years of cumulative honorable service.
Officers (W-1 to W-5, O-3 to O-6) – Same requirement: 8 years of honorable service, separated or retired within the past 5 years.
ARNG/USAR (Actively Serving/TPU) – Same eligibility plus Letter of Recommendation from current Commander and current DA Form 5016 or NGB 23A.
