REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associates Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (or closely related field) or Equivalent
combination of education, training, and documented work experience
5 Years experience in system administration, networking engineering, and/or infrastructure with progressively
increasing responsibilities
Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Azure administration
Strong working knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing and switching)
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Powershell) for system automation and management
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., Hyper-V) and familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., Azure,
AWS, Google Cloud)
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Successful work experience in K-12 or educational environment (strongly preferred but not required)
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Technology Services Coordinator is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of
the school district's critical technology infrastructure, including endpoint devices, network systems, servers,
cloud services, security platforms, and core applications. This role requires the application of advanced technical
expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and commitment to professional growth in order to ensure the
reliable and secure operation of technology resources essential for instructional and administrative services
across the district. Critical areas of responsibility include system and server administration, network
infrastructure, security and compliance, and technology support and projects.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES & EVALUATION CRITERIA
Manages, monitors, and maintains virtualized server environments (e.g., Hyper-V) and physical server hardware
Administers and supports core operating systems, primarily Microsoft Windows Server and related services
(Group Policy, DNS, DHCP)
Performs regular system backups, disaster recovery planning, and data restoration tests to ensure business
continuity
Manages cloud backup systems
Administers and troubleshoots the district’s cloud productivity and email system (e.g., Google Workspace)
Assists with managing and monitoring the district phone system and servers
Configures, installs, and manages network switches routers, and firewalls
Monitors network performance and troubleshoots connectivity, latency, and throughput issues across the LAN
and WAN
Manages the wireless infrastructure, including access points and wireless controllers, to ensure robust coverage
for users in all designated areas
Maintains and documents network architecture and IP address schema

Implements and maintains district-wide cybersecurity measures, including endpoint protection, intrusion
detection systems, and vulnerability scanning
Manages user accounts, permissions, and security groups within identity management provider and other
systems to enforce the principle of least privilege
Implements and monitors protocols to ensure technology systems and procedures comply with relevant district,
state, and federal regulations (e.g., FERPA, CIPA)
Responds to and mitigates security incidents and threats within established protocols and regulatory
requirements
Serves as an escalation point for complex technical issues that cannot be revolved by support staff at Tiers 1 or 2
Leads and participates in technology projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new system
deployments
Creates and maintains detailed documentation, including system configurations, operational procedures and
protocols, and training materials
Provides technical guidance and mentorship to other technology staff members
Performs other duties commensurate with the position as assigned by the direct supervisor, superintendent, or
designee
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work is performed by sitting, standing or walking. The work requires the use of hands for simple grasping
and fine motor manipulations. The work at times may require bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching,
with the ability to lift, carry, push or pull light weights, including the ability to lift up to 40 pounds and move
computer equipment such as servers, switches and monitors. The work at times occurs in data closets in server
room environments which may require climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Number and designation of work days will be determined by the current school calendar adopted by the Warren
County Board of Education. Occasional on-call availability and off-hours work for system maintenance and
emergency support are required. Salary shall be commensurate with adopted classified personnel salary
schedule. Leave accrual will be as stated in Board Policy.
EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provision of Warren County Board of Education
policy on evaluation of classified/certified personnel. Evaluations will be conducted by the Director of
Technology or his/her designee.
