Job Overview
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team of medical and administrative professionals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing quality health care to patients of all ages by administering medications, implementing physician protocols and maintaining detailed patient records, as well as cross-training and providing support to other patient care departments based on organizational needs. The successful candidate will have a background in Emergency Medicine and will be able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Schedule will be night shift (6:30pm - 7:00am) with rotating weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring the physical and psychosocial well-being of patients, families and professional staff.
- Helping patients and their families deal with stress and make informed decisions.
- Providing support and assistance to other members of the healthcare team.
- Communicating with professionals and patients to help them understand their diagnoses, treatment plans, and care options.
- Communicating with physicians about changes in patient’s status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies.
- Providing care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations.
Qualifications/Experience
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Registered Nurse license within the State of Illinois
- One year recent Emergency/Critical Care experience as an RN, or two years Medical/Surgical experience. Paramedic experience may be considered toward the critical care requirement.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification
- ENPC, TNCC, and NRP within one year of hire
- TNS preferred
- May be required to lift 50 lbs. or more. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and may be exposed to communicable diseases.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $39.56 - $50.13 per hour
