What You'll Do
You'll own the plan that keeps production running and customers happy.
- Build and manage Master Production Schedules (MPS)
- Balance demand, inventory, labor, machine capacity, and material availability
- Run and analyze MRP to ensure components are available when needed
- Identify bottlenecks, shortages, and capacity constraints before they impact production
- Optimize inventory levels while maintaining service and production goals
- Release and manage production work orders
- Manage purchasing activities for assigned materials and suppliers
- Lead material planning for Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and New Product Introductions (NPI)
- Develop reports, dashboards, and KPIs using JDE, Power BI, and Excel
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Strategic Sourcing, and Supply Chain teams
- Mentor Buyer Planner I and Buyer Planner II team members
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field
- 5 years of production planning, scheduling, materials management, or supply chain experience
- Advanced knowledge of MPS, MRP, capacity planning, and inventory management
- Strong ERP/MRP experience (JDE preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP functions
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
- Leadership mindset with experience mentoring others
- Manufacturing experience required
