Position Summary: The Full Charge Bookkeeper is responsible for independently managing day-to-day accounting operations and maintaining accurate, complete, and timely financial records. This role owns the general ledger, month end close, and preparation of financial statements, ensuring the books remain audit ready and compliant with company policies and GAAP. This position serves as a key accounting resource, providing support across core accounting functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed. The ideal candidate is an experienced, self sufficient accounting professional who enjoys hands on ownership of the accounting cycle and partners closely with leadership to support accurate financial reporting and informed business decisions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain the general ledger and ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with company policies and GAAP.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and other accounting activities for the month end close process. Ensure timely completion of close activities.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports, including the balance sheet and income statement.
• Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and cash activity, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Maintain accounting system data, including customer and vendor master records.
• Maintain customer and vendor master data and accounting-related system data.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed.
• Assist with audit, tax reporting, and compliance activities by maintaining accurate records and supporting documentation.
• Develop and maintain advanced Excel tools (e.g., pivot tables, lookup-based schedules, templates) to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Serve as a collaborative resource, supporting special projects and cross-functional initiatives as needed.

About You: You are an experienced and detail-oriented accounting professional who takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the integrity of the accounting function. You thrive working independently, take ownership of your responsibilities, and exercise sound judgment when identifying and resolving accounting issues. You are organized, dependable, and committed to continuous improvement, while building strong working relationships across the organization. You enjoy hands-on accounting work and are motivated by building efficient, accurate, and well-controlled financial processes.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of full charge bookkeeping experience, with demonstrated responsibility for managing the full accounting cycle.
• Associate's degree in Accounting or professional certifications including Certified Bookkeeper Certification.
• Strong practical understanding of GAAP and day-to-day accounting application.
• Experience managing month-end close and preparing financial statements and management reporting.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and revenue accounting.
• Experience using ERP systems (familiarity with Odoo is ideal) and accounting software; manufacturing or distribution environment is a strong plus.
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Proficient with the full MS Suite.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the Controller and building strong working relationships across the organization.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: The anticipated starting salary range for this position is $72,000 to $88,000 annually. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Final compensation will be determined based on factors including relevant experience, education, certifications, skills, qualifications, and internal equity.
