Job Description
Lead fast-paced team in technical design and program management of complex UAV / C2 system of systems, fully empowered by Government PM.
Identify stakeholders, define requirements, create system architectures, conduct trade studies, manage interfaces, and ensure the system's safety, reliability, and performance.
Reduce development costs, improve system performance, and increase the likelihood of project success.
Principles
· System Development Process: a holistic approach, interdisciplinary collaboration, requirements-driven design, lifecycle perspective, with iterative and incremental development, for the stepwise evolution of a new system from concept through development and on to production, operation, and ultimate disposal.
· Concept Development: analyze needs, requirements, and functions, to evaluate & select design.
· Engineering Development: integration, followed by test & evaluation.
· Architecture: model-based systems engineering for decision analysis and risk assessment.
· Systems of Systems: combining multiple systems together in order to accomplish an objective that a single system cannot achieve.
Activities
Perform early concept definition, lead trade studies, develop system level requirements and architectures, system verification planning, optimize overall system performance, and analyze risk.
Work with stakeholders to identify emerging technologies to advance system capabilities.
Document analysis/engineering results, prepare reports, and establish material requirements.
Author quality technical products; develop, deliver associated technical briefs.
Essential Qualifications
TS/SCI level clearance.
Experience with principles and activities, and demonstrated contributions on complex systems.
Degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or related technical field.
Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
General Qualifications
Ability to travel periodically and provide technical advice.
Subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information.
Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.
Enhancing Qualities
DAU or commercial certifications in Program Management (PM) and/or Engineering.
Master's or Doctoral degree in Engineering, or Business related field.
Professional experience specific to War Dept, Pentagon, Navy, or NAVAIR systems development and acquisition.
Prior military experience with tactical weapons planning and deployment.
Experience with Planning, Programming and Budgeting, Acquisition Process/Lifecycle, Research and Development, and Test and Evaluation of DoD Systems.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
