What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Worker position at Ware Presbyterian Village?
The Maintenance Worker is responsible for preventative and routine maintenance and the upkeep of residential buildings, grounds and equipment to maintain a safe environment for residents, staff and visitors. This position is also responsible for general cleaning of the entire building.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to follow oral and written instruction
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Ability to demonstrate basic mechanical aptitude
Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Completes all general maintenance of the community (basic plumbing, electrical, drywall repair, unit inspections, painting, work orders, carpentry and maintenance support).
- Performs preventative maintenance.
- Ensures and performs daily cleaning of entire building.
- Able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Effectively read and interpret documents and instructions.
- Capacity to effectively troubleshoot and problem solve.
