Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Commercial Insurance Producer role based in Virginia Beach, VA. The Commercial Insurance Producer will identify and prospect new commercial clients, build and maintain a book of business, and provide ongoing account management. Daily tasks include assessing client risk profiles, recommending coverage options, preparing proposals, and coordinating policy placement and renewals. The role involves collaborating with underwriters and carriers, explaining policy terms and options, and ensuring timely response to client inquiries and service needs. The Commercial Insurance Producer will maintain accurate documentation, stay current on industry trends and products, and consistently uphold Ware Insurance’s standards for professional, client-centered service.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Insurance Sales skills, including prospecting, consultative selling, and closing commercial accounts.
- Candidates should possess solid Insurance knowledge, including commercial lines coverages, risk assessment, and carrier guidelines.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and the ability to explain complex insurance concepts.
- Candidates should possess high-level Customer Service skills, including responsiveness, relationship management, and problem resolution.
- Active Property & Casualty insurance license (or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe) is required.
- Proven experience in commercial insurance production or related sales role is strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with agency management systems and standard office software.
