What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Development position at Ware Academy?
The ideal candidate will be passionate about the mission of Ware and have an understanding of the current philanthropic climate and best practices. The candidate must thrive on working independently to create a vibrant development function and be able to work closely with an engaged board of trustees and Head of School. Understanding the Gloucester, Mathews, and Middlesex communities is a plus.
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and traits:
- Experience in fundraising techniques, particularly major gift/relational fundraising with
individuals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain external relationships.
- Demonstrated experience and interest in the management of a fundraising database.
- Experience coordinating fundraising efforts, including annual fund, major gifts, and capital campaigns.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
