Front Counter and Customer Service Associate
Ward’s Florist – Beverly, MA
Ward’s Florist is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented team member to support the smooth daily operation of our shop. When scheduled, this person will focus on core administrative and communication tasks that keep the front counter and deliveries running efficiently.
Primary Responsibilities (when scheduled):
- Processing and handling daily paperwork
- Answering phones and taking customer orders accurately
- Entering, updating, and processing orders in the POS system
- Developing daily delivery routes based on timed deliveries and route constraints
- Assigning deliveries to drivers efficiently
- Communicating with delivery drivers and designers throughout the day to keep workflow organized
- Using strong knowledge of driving directions and the North Shore area to create efficient delivery plans
Supportive Responsibilities:
- Assisting with front counter activity and customer flow
- Ringing customers up on the POS system
- Supporting primary counter team members as needed
- Helping customers choose flowers when counter staff need assistance
- Providing friendly, helpful customer service when interacting with customers
Requirements:
- Familiarity with the North Shore area and comfort with driving directions
- Must be available at least one weekend day
- Able to work 8-hour shifts
- Willing to work additional hours during busy floral holidays
- Strong communication and multitasking abilities
- Organized, accurate, and comfortable handling paperwork
Hours and Pay:
Part time or full time. Regular weekly schedule with one weekend day required. Extra hours during major floral holidays. Pay based on experience. Business hours are Monday-Saturday 9-5 and Sunday 9-3.
