Ward and Smith, P.A. is a growing full-service law firm with multiple offices throughout the Carolinas. We are seeking a Trusts and Estates Legal Administrative Assistant to join our New Bern office.
The responsibilities include supporting attorneys and paralegals in the Trusts and Estates Practice Group by creating, proofing, editing, revising, and printing correspondence, memoranda, and legal documents; conferring with clients as directed; meeting with clients for execution of estate planning documents, and assisting with estate projects from inception to completion.
Applicants should be multi-task oriented, have excellent written and oral communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and be able to function well in a fast-paced environment. Applicants should have proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and possess strong grammar and punctuation skills. Applicants must be a notary or have the ability to obtain same. High school diploma or equivalent is required; college level courses and prior experience as an administrative assistant preferred. This is an in-office position.
