Here at Wanzl we perform general maintenance and repair on shopping carts and rolling equipment, complete installation projects, and conduct site surveys, for national retail and grocery store chains. Learn how to diagnose and repair equipment, install and troubleshoot access gates/shelving, and conduct photographic surveys.

Key Role Responsibilities:

• As a Traveling Field Service Technician you are responsible for providing outstanding service to our customers by repairing rolling stock equipment such as shopping carts, pallet jacks, ladders, material handling carts, pressure wash sidewalks and equipment. Some minor welding (will train) and minor battery charging systems repair.
• You will also Install shelving and other installation projects
• Troubleshoot access gates
• Provide our customers with professional and courteous site surveys by collecting data and photos on your Smart Phone and company provided APP
• Travel to customer sites to perform work; some overnight stays required.
• Maintain proper care of company vehicle, equipment, inventory and supplies and electronics

Qualifications:

• New England residence only.
• Willing to travel to multiple states -see above in posting
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Electrical experience preferred
• Likes using hands and tools to repair and troubleshoot
• Comfortable with working in the elements
• Proficient use of Apps and hand held devices
• Time management skills
• Field experience
• Solid communication/customer service skills
• Can do attitude and self-motivated
• Endurance and the ability to work in outdoor weather conditions
• High school graduate, holder of G.E.D., or equivalent studies/experience
• Must have valid vehicle operator's license and clean Motor Vehicle Report for last 5 years (no DUIs or suspensions)
• Background check and pre-employment drug screen are required
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds

Salary: $60-65,000/year estimate for area: Pay per job (piecework) and drive time pay
