Company Overview
Schonbek, a premium lighting brand and a member of The WAC Group, is looking for a Finishing Operator, 1st shift, Monday - Friday. The Finishing Operator will apply and remove finish to manufactured and purchased parts while meeting the production schedule in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions, equipment, and systems of work for self and all employees, and participate in training as needed.
- Must read and comprehend standard work instructions and other pre-established guidelines to perform functions of the job.
- May apply and/or remove finish to manufactured and purchased parts by use of appropriate hand and air tools, chemicals, documentation, and equipment.
- Ensure a quality product by identifying issues with finish on manufactured and purchased parts.
- May rack parts in preparation for finishing.
- May unrack parts in preparation for delivery to assembly or inventory.
- May inspect racks for damage and bring to the attention of rack tech for repairs.
- Obtain necessary information and daily work schedule by referencing the computer system and/or visual tagging system.
- Stage and deliver parts to the next operation.
- Ensure an organized, clean, and safe workspace by understanding and applying the use of the 6S guidelines.
- Able to learn and master these tasks in 1 year.
- Ensure efficient production flow by troubleshooting issues, coaching, and training others.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalency Preferred
- Prior Manufacturing Experience a Plus
- Must have Reliable Transportation
- Ability to Work 6:30am - 3:00pm, Monday - Friday, and Overtime as Needed
- Must have a Reliable Attendance Record
The expected hourly rate is $18.00-$20.00 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors allowed by law.
