Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast items, including eggs, pancakes, breakfast meats, and other hot dishes with precision and speed.
- Follow standardized recipes and menu plans to ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage practices.
- Ensure all food safety protocols are adhered to, including proper sanitation, temperature control, and cross-contamination prevention.
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new breakfast ideas or improvements based on guest preferences.
- Coordinate with the serving staff to ensure timely delivery of hot meals to guests or dining areas.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when stock needs replenishing.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar culinary role within a restaurant or food service environment.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
