Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance & Capital Markets Analyst who is fluent in Japanese (speaking, reading, and writing) to join our Scottsdale-based team. This role will support our capital markets and finance teams in both U.S. and Japanese operations. The successful candidate will work closely with investors, partners, and internal stakeholders, dividing their time between the Scottsdale office and frequent travel to Japan (approximately 50%).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison for Japanese-speaking investors, partners, and financial institutions.
- Translate and interpret financial reports, presentations, and legal documents between Japanese and English.
- Prepare and present investment proposals, capital raising materials, and investor updates in both languages.
- Conduct market research and financial analysis to support capital markets strategies.
- Develop, maintain, and analyze financial models for investment opportunities and funding structures.
- Support the structuring and execution of capital markets transactions, including equity and debt offerings.
- Coordinate and attend investor meetings in Japan and the U.S., ensuring follow-up actions are completed.
- Monitor industry trends, economic conditions, and market activity relevant to Japanese and U.S. investors.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial data and communications.
- Maintain detailed records of investor interactions, transaction details, and market insights.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 5 years of experience in finance, capital markets, investment banking, or related field.
- Native or near-native fluency in Japanese (speaking, reading, and writing) and proficiency in English.
- Strong understanding of Japanese business culture and practices.
- Proven experience in financial modeling, market analysis, and investor relations.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally (50% of the time).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience working with Japanese investors or in Japan-based finance roles.
- Knowledge of real estate investment, private equity, or alternative asset management.
