The Plumbing Laborer role is physically demanding and requires frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and working overhead. Duties involve lifting and carrying materials, operating hand and power tools, and assisting with welding and installation tasks. Work is performed indoors and outdoors on active construction sites and may involve exposure to temperature extremes, noise, confined spaces, elevated work areas, fumes, dust, and uneven surfaces. - Assist plumbers and pipefitters with measuring, cutting, layout, assembly, and installation of plumbing and piping systems.
- Support welders and skilled trades as assigned.
- Install brackets, hangers, and supports for piping systems.
- Assist with drilling, cutting, and preparing openings in walls and floors for pipe installation.
- Help fit valves, couplings, and assemblies using hand and power tools.
- Prepare and clean job sites; dig trenches and move materials as needed.
- Safely operate hand and power tools, company vehicles, and work at heights or in confined spaces when required.
- Follow all company safety policies and report unsafe conditions.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- At least three years of work experience, preferably in construction.
- Willing to learn and develop the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Reliable, dependable, and able to maintain consistent attendance.
- Detail-oriented and comfortable asking questions and accepting constructive feedback.
- Able to work cooperatively as part of a team.
- Maintain a professional, honest, and positive attitude.
