Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a positive first impression of the restaurant
- Manage restaurant reservations using reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest satisfaction
- Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, demonstrating proper phone etiquette and clear communication skills
- Assist with guest services by answering questions, providing menus, and addressing special requests
- Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times accurately to guests
- Support food safety and cleanliness standards in the front-of-house area to ensure a welcoming environment
Requirements
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle guest interactions positively and professionally
- Familiarity with restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing reservations and seating charts
- Basic math skills for handling guest counts and table allocations
- Effective communication skills, including phone communication and guest relations
- Knowledge of POS systems and restaurant operations is advantageous
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain energetic during busy service hours
- Understanding of food safety practices and hospitality standards
