What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facility Maintenance/Janitorial Tech position at Walsh Trucking?
Walsh Trucking Co. a family owned and operated business since 1959, and staple in the Wood residuals and Refuse industry is in need of a Facility Maintenance/Janitorial Tech in our Shop in Troutdale. This is a regular full time position. Shift will be days, M-F: 8:00AM to 4:30PM.
Job Duties
- Sprays and cleans company vehicles with a pressure washer. Steam cleans trucks as directed.
- Monitors and cleans outside yard area. This includes using a blower, sweeping, using the scrubber, etc.
- Maintains steam cleaning and wash bay area and fuel island lanes.
- Fills all oil, coolant, and washer fluid jugs. Replaces window washing water in fuel island.
- Performs general janitorial duties not performed by contracted provider. This includes taking out garbage and replacing bags.
- Performs morning safety check on forklifts
- Fills out daily maintenance log
- Assists technicians as needed
- Reports any facility maintenance issues to the Service Manager
A Successful Candidate will possess
o High school diploma or GED
o Previous forklift experience preferred, but not required
o Valid driver license & clean driving record required
o The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
o With training and good performance has potential to move up into a Mechanic role.
