Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain cleanliness and safety at our industrial site. The ideal candidate will have experience in janitorial and custodial services, with a strong focus on creating a clean, welcoming environment. Hours/Days:
Monday-Friday
1pm to 9pm
Duties
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across various areas
- Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and other floor care techniques
- Conduct industrial cleaning tasks as needed, including use of specialized equipment for deep cleaning
- Ensure restrooms are sanitized and stocked with supplies at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas, offices, hallways, and other designated spaces
- Follow safety protocols during all custodial activities to prevent accidents or injuries
- Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and tools efficiently and safely
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred, especially in commercial or industrial settings
- Experience with floor care techniques such as buffing and polishing is highly desirable
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and procedures is beneficial
- Previous porter or maintenance roles demonstrate relevant skills in facilities upkeep
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
