Description:
Our client is currently seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Responsibilities Include:
- Lead strategic accounts, OEM opportunities, and complex industrial projects from discovery through close.
- Conduct customer discovery to identify technical, operational, and business requirements.
- Develop engineered lighting solutions, including product recommendations, layouts, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Lead customer meetings, site visits, technical presentations, and solution reviews.
- Build trusted relationships with engineering, operations, maintenance, procurement, and leadership teams.
- Present and defend technical solutions while addressing objections and competitive positioning.
- Collaborate with engineering and product development on custom solutions, feasibility, and product improvements.
- Manage opportunity progress, technical activities, and customer commitments within CRM.
- Support strategic account growth through long-term customer relationships and standardization opportunities.
- Provide technical leadership by developing application standards, tools, and market insights.
Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience in applications engineering, solutions engineering, technical sales, or related industrial/electrical markets.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or equivalent experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of industrial lighting, electrical systems, controls, or engineered solutions.
- Proven ability to solve complex customer challenges and lead opportunities from discovery to close.
- Experience developing technical recommendations, layouts, drawings, and supporting documentation.
- Ability to build cross-functional relationships with customers, sales, engineering, and leadership.
- Strong CRM discipline, organizational skills, and willingness to travel up to 30%.
