Description:
Our client is currently seeking an Evictions and Collections Paralegal to join their team. This is a full-time, direct hire position.
Responsibilities Include:
- Act as a liaison between debt collectors and attorneys.
- Provide general legal assistant support.
- Draft, edit, and proofread litigation documents under the supervision of the attorney.
- Conduct case related research to ensure the case operates in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Ensure post-judgment procedures operate smoothly and within legal boundaries.
- Oversee internal and external requests for information.
- Organization and maintenance of both digital and physical legal files.
- The coordination of meetings, closings, and court appearances.
- Opening of new matters.
- Maintenance of calendars, tracking of deadlines, and management of case schedules.
- Setting up of corresponding files.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of paralegal experience.
- Must be proficient in the Microsoft suite.
- Experienced with evictions and collections.
- Detail oriented with excellent communication skills, both written and verbally.
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
