Description:
Our client is currently seeking a Drafter (Civil) to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Responsibilities Include:
- Prepare accurate survey mappings, base plans, project drawings, and related deliverables using field data, GIS resources, deeds, and other project information.
- Complete drafting and mapping assignments in accordance with company standards.
- Provide drafting, mapping, file preparation, and documentation support for Engineering and Land Survey projects.
- Organize, maintain, and manage field data, project files, survey records, and company documentation.
- Prepare, transfer, and distribute files for survey crews, engineering staff, and project teams, ensuring all project data is properly saved and maintained.
- Assist with project setup, including deed research, base mapping, and file preparation.
- Coordinate with staff, field crews, and management to support project progress and scheduling, including fieldwork, drafting, and deliverable deadlines.
- Support field scheduling and collaborate across departments to meet project needs.
- Communicate with clients through meetings and phone calls and assist with managing client expectations.
- Conduct occasional site visits to verify information, perform field edits, and support field-related mapping activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management and technical staff.
Qualifications:
- An associate's degree in a related field is required.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar drafting software preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret field data, survey records, deeds, maps, and project plans.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and file management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and departments.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, schedules, and deadlines.
- Willingness to occasionally travel to project sites and assist field crews as needed.
