Kitchen Team Member

What You’ll Do
Prepare food items according to Wally’s recipes, portion standards, and procedures
Assist with cooking, assembling, and serving menu items
Maintain clean, organized, and sanitized workstations at all times
Follow food safety, sanitation, handwashing, glove use, and cross-contamination procedures
Operate kitchen equipment and use utensils safely and correctly
Stock, rotate, and store food and supplies properly
Follow FIFO practices to maintain freshness and reduce waste
Notify leadership when products, ingredients, or supplies are running low
Work closely with team members, Leads, and Managers to keep kitchen operations moving efficiently
Provide friendly, respectful service when interacting with guests
Report equipment issues, hazards, or safety concerns immediately
Support other departments or special events as needed
What We’re Looking For
High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous food service, restaurant, kitchen, line cook, prep cook, or quick-service experience preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation
Ability to operate kitchen equipment and follow recipes and prep instructions
Strong teamwork, reliability, and communication skills
Positive attitude and guest-focused mindset
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
Stand for extended periods
Use hands and arms regularly for food prep and equipment use
Walk frequently throughout the shift
Occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Frequently lift and move up to 15 pounds
