Staff Accountant Wallowa County Grain Growers | Enterprise, Oregon

Wallowa County Grain Growers is seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This position plays an important role in supporting the financial operations of our multi-department cooperative, helping ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and sound business decisions.

What You'll Do
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Reconcile general ledger and bank accounts
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Help maintain internal accounting controls and financial compliance
- Coordinate audit preparation and supporting documentation
- Partner with department managers to provide financial insight
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency
- Support accounting operations across multiple company locations
Qualifications
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Three or more years of progressive accounting experience
Successful candidates will have:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with reconciliations, month-end close, and budgeting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality
- A positive attitude and team-oriented approach
