The HR Manager is both a strategic and hands-on contributor aligning business objectives with effective employee relations strategy. The HR Manager serves as a consultant to management on Human Resource related issues and will act as the employee advocate and change agent. In collaboration with others, the HR Manager drives a positive employee experience throughout the full employee lifecycle.

Responsibilities
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Consult and advise managers and staff on a wide range of employee lifecycle issues
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues
- Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations and ensures appropriate corrective actions are implemented
- Reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with legal department as needed/required
- Provides day to day performance management guidance to management (coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions)
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention
- Provide policy guidance and interpretation
- Oversee Workday changes, timekeeping/payroll, benefits administration, employee safety, and leave management
- Provides effective and efficient talent acquisition and retention support
- Team member leadership and development
Qualifications
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- A Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field
- 5 years of strategic and operational HR experience with responsibility for labor relations in a unionized production environment
- Demonstrated experience in resolving complex employee relation issues
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws
- Clear communication style, written and verbal, English fluency is a must
- Influencing skills and interfacing with senior members of the business
- Being an enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical behaviour
- Demonstrates appropriate cultural awareness
- Be intellectually curious and continually evolve one’s own performance and leadership through learning
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results

- Take initiative to identify and anticipate business needs and make recommendations for implementation

The pay or salary range listed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum projected rate of pay for the specific position across our United States locations. Equally as important, as a team member, individual earnings may consider knowledge, skills, abilities, work location and related factors. The current salary range for this position is 75-93K.
