Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Certified Medical Assistant and Scribe to join our healthcare team. This vital role combines clinical support with medical documentation, ensuring seamless patient care and accurate record-keeping. Duties

• Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations by preparing patients and documenting clinical findings in real-time using EMR/EHR systems
• Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature, and oxygen saturation levels
• Perform basic clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and specimen collection in accordance with safety protocols
• Support patient intake processes by gathering medical histories, updating demographic information, and explaining procedures clearly
• Document detailed clinical notes accurately during patient visits to ensure comprehensive medical records for billing and future care
• Manage appointment scheduling, patient flow, and follow-up coordination to optimize clinic efficiency
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control standards and safety regulations

Requirements

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from an accredited program with current licensure or registration
• Proven experience in outpatient settings such as dermatology clinics, hospital medicine units, urgent care centers, or emergency departments
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, ICD coding, and EMR/EHR management systems
• Hands-on experience with clinical procedures including phlebotomy, medication administration, X-ray operation (if certified), and vital signs collection
• Familiarity with hospital environments such as Level I or Level II trauma centers or inpatient units like PICU or Geriatrics is highly desirable
• Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse populations
• Basic life support (BLS) certification is required; additional certifications in emergency medicine or hospital medicine are a plus
• Ability to multitask efficiently in high-pressure situations while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
