We're seeking a highly organized Inventory and Operations Specialist to maintain inventory accuracy, assist with shipping and receiving, and support our operations team in ensuring day-to-day processes run smoothly.
Position Overview
The Inventory and Operations Specialist will be responsible for monitoring and managing inventory levels, coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining organized storage areas, and assisting with operational support tasks. This role is critical to keeping our supply chain efficient and our customers satisfied.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories to ensure system accuracy.
- Reconcile inventory discrepancies and identify root causes.
- Maintain organized and clearly labeled storage areas.
- Track inventory trends and report low stock or overstock issues.
- Enter inventory data into ERP/WMS systems accurately and in a timely manner.
Shipping and Receiving
- Receive incoming shipments: inspect deliveries, verify counts, and record in inventory system.
- Prepare, pack, and label outbound shipments.
- Coordinate pickups and deliveries with shipping carriers.
- Maintain proper shipping documentation and ensure compliance with company policies.
Operations Support
- Assist with order processing, fulfillment and restocking as needed.
- Support purchasing activities by communicating with vendors and assisting with reorders.
- Document and improve inventory and logistics processes (SOPs).
- Perform light administrative duties, including data entry and basic reporting.
- Participate in safety inspections and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related field preferred.
- 2 years experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or shipping/receiving.
- Experience using inventory management software (ERP/WMS) and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive communication style.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Forklift certification is a plus but not required.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
