Project Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to lead our capital projects and manage engineering, design, and construction resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead assigned capital projects (standalone projects and projects within plant outages) and manage all engineering, design, and construction resources.
- Develop estimates, funding documents, schedule, and ongoing forecasts for plant executed projects within SAP.
- Ensure all projects receive adequate process hazard reviews and ORIs, and that all recommendations are completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure inherent process safety is adhered to on all project designs.
- Provide field supervision/support during project execution.
- Conduct Safety Kickoff Meeting with contractors and operations team prior to start of project execution.
- Lead daily morning safety/toolbox meetings with all crafts.
Requirements:
- Basic understanding of operating plant environment.
- PMP certification.
- 10 years of Project Engineer experience.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
- Ability to learn new methods and techniques.
- Communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with people from all cultures and at all organizational levels.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor.
