The Mechanical Engineer is an important member of the Engineering team and is responsible for designing products or systems and determining the feasibility of designs and applications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Researches and analyzes data such as customer supplied designs, commercial and military specifications and repair manuals to determine feasibility of design or application
- Designs products or systems such as heat transfer equipment, aircraft exhaust components, tooling and test equipment
- Ability to design complex assembly models in SolidWorks
- Creates manufacturing plans and bills of material in WCC manufacturing software
- Ability to interface between engineering and internal and external customers
- Travel to customer sites, other divisions and technical conferences
- Bachelor Degree in Manufacturing, Materials, or Mechanical Engineering – Master’s Degree a plus
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, machine design, manufacturing process development, value engineering or product engineering
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to organize, and excellent communication skills
- 3D modeling and GD&T drafting skills, SolidWorks preferred
- Strong knowledge of precision tools and measuring equipment
- Project management skills
- Microsoft Office experience
