Duties
- Engage with guests to educate them about wine selections, tasting notes, and pairing suggestions, fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
- Serve wine confidently and professionally, ensuring proper presentation and service according to industry standards.
- Upsell wine options by highlighting features and benefits, increasing sales and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate POS transactions using systems; including cash handling and order processing.
Skills
- Knowledge of wine varieties, tasting techniques, and wine service best practices; or be willing to learn.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach that encourages guest engagement.
- Ability to effectively sell wine through upselling techniques while maintaining professionalism.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, serving protocols, and general food handling procedures.
