Job Description
Primary Purpose of Role:
Provides mechanical and electrical support for industrial manufacturing machines. Support will involve preventative maintenance, installation, service, repair, troubleshooting, and problem resolution. The ideal candidate will have mechanical and electrical experience, a familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics, and have basic troubleshooting experience with proven ability of machine repair.

Preventative Maintenance Tech - 3rd Shift
Job Description
Primary Purpose of Role:
Provides mechanical and electrical support for industrial manufacturing machines. Support will involve preventative maintenance, installation, service, repair, troubleshooting, and problem resolution. The ideal candidate will have mechanical and electrical experience, a familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics, and have basic troubleshooting experience with proven ability of machine repair.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs assigned preventative maintenance.
- Performs scheduled maintenance on equipment and machinery
- Responds to and corrects equipment stoppage/mechanical breakdown. Troubleshoots, repairs/replaces worn/defective parts, motors, control devices.
- Operators machine shop equipment, hand tools, power hand tools and makes required parts when necessary.
- Ability to use hand tools.
- Complete appropriate production paperwork.
- Housekeeping.
- Overtime as required.
- Complete all other duties assigned by supervisor or lead.
- Maintenance Connection or equivalent computerized maintenance management system experience is a plus.
- Monitor safety aspects and awareness, including walk-throughs, audits and submission of safety related work orders.
- A strong desire to advance within the facility.
- Solid understanding and knowledge of electrical and mechanical processes and principles
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office, applications, databases and interfacing.
- Basic understanding of programming with Allen Bradley and Control Techniques.
- Ability to understand Auto CAD drawings.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate with outside vendors including input of Purchase Orders.
- Demonstrated ability to fabricate machine parts from drawings for equipment builds.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Must have project management skills.
- An operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery which includes motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, communication devices, industrial / electronic controls and power transmission systems.
- A good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Certified from a tech or trade school preferred
- 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to use hand tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
- Must be able to pass powered lift equipment testing.
- Must be able to work in hot/cold environment.
