Forktruck Operator - 3rd shift
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform the assigned tasks as described in the location's policies and procedures standards to include handling of materials within associated logical transactions.
- Operate heavy machinery in confined areas.
- Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials.
- Perform material moves with associated physical/logical transactions as required.
- Participate in daily shift meetings and other team activities for the purpose of self-improvement and improving warehouse operations and related business functions.
- Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers.
- Sign inbound and outbound shipping documents.
- Ensure all scanning is completed correctly.
- Ensure facility is secure at end of shift; investigate/resolve scanning issues and housekeeping.
- Perform picking and packing duties.
- Check for evidence of product or container damage.
- Performs housekeeping duties for assigned area operate fork-lift equipment or other warehouse machinery.
- Perform basic operator maintenance (grease equipment, clean filters, change small fittings).
- Sort materials by type and grade.
- Perform daily preventative maintenance.
- 5S.
- Overtime as required.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or lead.
Qualifications:
- Forklift experience preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must have experience working in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Must be able to pass power lift equipment testing.
Travel or Physical Demands:
- Must be able to work in hot/cold environment.
- Must be able to life up to 50 lbs. repeatedly
