Walden is committed to high academic and behavioral standards and a full partnership between families, students and teachers. Such a partnership inspires students to even greater heights. The School Director is the daily leader of Walden Academy (TK-8). The School Director provides coordination and support for all campus learning programs and activities to continue to provide high-quality programs to students. The School Director reports directly to the School Board and they are responsible for the orderly, daily operation of the Charter School and the supervision of the teachers and staff at Walden. Duties/Responsibilities/Functions/Tasks Implements the Walden Academy Vision and Mission to build a culture of lifelong learners where every staff member is committed to: -Redefining teaching and learning so all children have the opportunity to experience an exemplary public education, and -Providing the right instruction for every student every day by supporting innovative teaching methods and a personalized, experience-based learning environment to ensure no child is left unknown. -Supervise and evaluate teachers and staff -Interview and determine employee hiring, promotion, discipline, and/or dismissal with approval of the School Board -Communicate with parents, recruit new families and students, and assure families of academic growth -Promote the charter program in the community
Requirements / Qualifications
Evidence of: -CA Administrative Services Credential -CA Multiple Subjects or Single Subject Credential -Minimum of five years teaching experience -Master's degree or higher in Education or a related field -Minimum of 2 year Site Director/Principal experience In addition: -Resume -Letter of Introduction -3 recent signed letters of recommendation
