Responsibilities

- Resource Management : Plan and supervise Equipment Start Up and Commissioning process , Assistant Superintendent (on larger projects ) and/or craft activities such as, determining method of construction, workforce levels, material quantities equipment, temporary power sources, work schedule and documenting actual hours worked . Maintain liaison with other departments such as Material Control, Purchasing , Quality Control, and Engineering to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, support craft activities and project schedules .
- Project Planning and Strategy : Coordinate assigned work with the work of different crafts, company departments, or other contractors.
- Risk Management : Assist the Labor Relations Department in maintaining communications with unions, resolving jurisdictional disputes, requisitioning required workforce, and as necessary the labor approach for the projects assigned . Monitor craft compliance with project safety program requirements; document and ensure corrective measures are implemented.
- Team Leadership : Maintain liaison with engineering, estimating, and planning to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule . Experience assisting in resolving construction problems such as lack of productivity and work interfaces is required .
Qualifications
T o q ualify f or t he r ole, y ou m ust h ave
- Minimum of 8 years supervisory experience in similar facility construction technology, methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures required .
- Strong Mechanical background in Data Centers’ experience is preferred.
- Titles by discipline may include, Technical Superintendent, Mechanical Superintendent, or Electrical Superintendent .
- Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control and demonstrated ability to control and supervise large groups.
- Prior experience with Commercial or Industrial project scopes of at least $ 50 M value .
- A valid driver’s license in the US required; and willingness and ability to travel; travel is estimated at 70 %.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong history of leading, motivating and mentoring cross-functional teams .
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, laws, standards, and regulations.
- Successful background maintaining high safety standards and delivering quality outcomes.
- Proficiency in developing and implement ing project strategies, plans, and budgets.
