Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Dispatcher. As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the transportation logistics for our company. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and advancement.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule transportation routes for drivers
- Monitor driver progress and provide real-time updates to customers
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure efficient operations
- Utilize phone systems and transportation management software to track shipments
- Dispatch drivers to pick up and deliver goods according to customer requirements
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including data entry into the system
- Monitor GPS tracking systems to ensure on-time deliveries
- Resolve any issues or delays in delivery by providing alternative solutions
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in supply chain, logistics, or transportation management preferred
- Familiarity with 3PL (third-party logistics) operations is a plus
- Proficient in using phone systems and transportation management software
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions
- Experience in dispatching or coordinating drivers is highly desirable
