Reporting to Corporate Counsel, the Contract Analyst plays a key role in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of contracts across Walbec’s operating companies. This position supports business partners by balancing legal risk with practical, business-focused solutions in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Position Summary
Reporting to Corporate Counsel, the Contract Analyst plays a key role in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of contracts across Walbec’s operating companies. This position supports business partners by balancing legal risk with practical, business-focused solutions in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and negotiate a high volume of contracts, including subcontracts, service and supply agreements, access and material agreements, and equipment rental agreements
- Conduct pre-bid and contract risk reviews
- Draft and revise agreements using standardized templates
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure contracts align with operational needs
- Conduct legal and regulatory research to support contract interpretation and risk mitigation
- Assist in maintaining and improving contract templates and processes
- Paralegal degree or certificate, or equivalent relevant experience, required
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in contract review and drafting
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Sound judgment and practical negotiation skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and DocuSign
- Familiarity with AI-powered contract lifecycle management tools is a plus
